In most cases, Knowledge is Power. When it comes to the martial arts...if you are teaching...then yes...Knowledge is Power or else no one would seek you out...BUT...Knowledge of what? If all one can do is dazzle someone with their BS, well...then the students, and the instructor for that matter...would have a false sense of security should they ever have to test their skills in a real confrontation. This is a case where Knowledge is being used to impress people...not to impress upon them the need to get on the mat and train. We all like something on sale!  Who doesn't? What is more important...the price or the VALUE? Price is something we pay for a product or service. VALUE is what we get, or more importantly...the perception of what we get for a given price. We all have different perceptions of value.  Price is price...nothing to perceive here...just the exchange for pieces of paper with famous dead people on them. For me personally...price is secondary to the VALUE I will get if I decide to purchase that product or service. Innovation

          Why is it that the light bulb is associated with creativity or a new idea?  For starters, when we turn on the light...we can now see what was right in front of us...but for some reason...was not very clear.  Secondly, the light bulb also signifies the illumination of the mind through intellectual or spiritual enlightenment.      There are many ways to innovate.   Innovation can be in the form of the verbiage you use in, for example, a restaurant, "Do you want fries with that?"        One particular restaurant started using that phrase about 20 years ago and it has made them millions of $ in their coffers and put millions of pounds of fat on their clientele.  The phrase was innovative...the result...no so much...but we are only talking about innovation here:-)      I recently heard a story about Franchise that had grown its membership by 50% in just 7 months after a new leadership team had taken over.  This did not happen just because they are great at
